Pertisau at Achensee
Your holiday village, Pertisau at Achensee, lies picturesquely bedded in the Tirolean Alps and stretches along the edge of Tirols largest lake, the Achensee.
The emerald green colour, the idyllic location in the valley and the grandiose landscape of the Karwendel and Rofan mountain ranges make Pertisau at Achensee popular for holidays with family and friends.
Enjoy the many opportunities for sporting activites on the mountain and on the water, numerous day trips and great places for relaxing in nature. Pertisau at Achensee is easy to find: 50 km northeast of Innsbruck and 100 km south of Munich, easy to get to by car, rail or air.
By the way: the famous Tirolean rock oil is a "finding" from Pertisau! More than 100 years ago a man from the village, Martin Albrecht sen., found oil shale on the banks of the Achensee lake, from which he extracted rock oil. Today his family are still extracting oil – valued far beyond Tirol for its beneficial effects on health.
In Pertisau you can journey into the past in the mine gallery at the 'Steinöl Museum'. Interesting for the whole family!
